Note: To simplify the assembly process in production plants, the lower part of the timing belt cover is provided with a guide that engages the crankshaft cover. To remove the lower part of the timing belt cover with the engine support bracket installed, this timing belt cover guide must be broken. Consider the different vehicle versions!
Remove the crankshaft pulley for the poly V-belt.
Warning! Risk of engine damage if the toothed belt is damaged. Perform the following operation very carefully!
In the toothed belt casing of the discontinued series, make a hole of the following dimensions: size "a" = 10 mm, diameter = 8 mm. Insert a screwdriver into the hole and, moving backwards, break off the guide lug of the toothed belt casing.

In the new model toothed belt casing, insert a screwdriver into the slot of the guide lug. Rotate the screwdriver in the "direction of the arrow" to break off the guide lug.

Unscrew the screws "arrows". Unhook the lower part of the toothed belt cover "1" by moving it upwards and remove it.

Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: If a new timing belt cover is to be installed, the guide lug "arrow" must be removed prior to installation.

Install the timing belt cover taking into account the position of the centering pin "arrow".
