Attention! Risk of damage to electronic components by static discharge. Before disconnecting the electrical connectors, the mechanic must remove the electrostatic charge from himself, for example, by touching the unpainted parts of the door lock.
Remove retainer -1- downwards, press downwards and unplug connector -2-. Disconnect the connector together with the cable from the ignition and starter switch lock.
Remove screw -2- (1.1 Nm) and slide the switch module -1- off the support on the steering lock.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Before pushing the switch module onto the steering column, the installation position of the annular rotor must be checked. Arrows -1- should be located opposite each other. Coiled spring -2- must be visible in the window between the arrows -4-. Adjust to correct position if necessary. Make sure that all retaining tabs and connectors are correctly engaged.
