Note: Do not remove the steering wheel. To remove the screws securing the lower steering column trim, turn the steering wheel 90° to the left and then to the right.
Remove the upper and lower steering column trims. Disconnect electrical connector "1". In the "arrow" cutouts of the steering column lock housing "4", unlock the locking clips "2" and "3". inserting watchmakers' screwdrivers there. If this operation is impossible due to tightness, make an auxiliary tool in the form of 2 wire hooks, as described below.

Bend the eyelet at the end of the 1 mm diameter welding wire and cut the wire to size "a". Size "a" = approx. 50 mm. Sand the end of the wire to a flat point. Size -b- = approx. 5 mm. Pull the ignition and starter switch out of the steering column lock housing, watch screwdrivers/wire hooks must remain inserted into the housing when pulled out.

Installation
Installation is in reverse order. Insert the ignition and starter switch into the steering column shaft lock housing until it is heard to lock.
