Compression check (Skoda Octavia 5E)

The engine oil temperature must be at least 30°C. The battery voltage must be at least 12.7 V. Remove the ignition coils with the power output stages. Disconnect the electrical connectors.



1. For injectors -N30...N33-
2. Injectors 2 -N532...N535-

Remove the spark plugs using the spark plug wrench -3122 B-. Check the compression pressure using the compression pressure tester "V.A.G 1763" and an adapter "V.A.G 1763/6". Turn on the starter with the 2nd mechanic at fully open throttle until the control device stops recording an increase in pressure.

Compression value

If the specified values are not achieved, check the combustion chamber for leaks. Install in reverse order. Install the spark plugs. Install the ignition coils. Finally, erase the fault codes in the event recorder of the engine control unit, since they were recorded when the connector was disconnected.
