Replacing the sealing ring of the crankshaft poly V-belt pulley (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the poly V-belt pulley from the crankshaft. Screw back the crankshaft poly V-belt pulley mounting screw using the "T10368" drift.

Warning! Risk of engine damage. Do not turn the crankshaft from the TDC position with the pulley removed, as this may change the valve timing.

Remove the sealing ring "1" using the hook-puller "T40274".

Installation

Clean the lower timing chain cover in the sealing ring seating area. It must be degreased. Unscrew the "T10368" mandrel. Press in the "arrow" sealing ring using the "T10354" mandrel and the crankshaft poly V-belt pulley mounting screw until it stops.

Note: Replacing the crankshaft pulley bolt with sealing ring.

Installation in reverse order. Install the crankshaft poly V-belt pulley.
