Installation
Check the TDC position of the crankshaft, the marks -arrows- must be opposite each other. Make a mark on the cylinder block -1- with a waterproof felt-tip pen,
Mark the tooth -1- of the three-stage sprocket against the mark -2- with a waterproof felt-tip pen.
Turn intermediate shaft sprocket and balancing shaft with marks facing each other -arrow-; do not loosen screw -1-.
Note: The colored links of the balance shaft drive chain must be opposite the markings on the sprockets.
Lay the drive chain of the balancer shafts on their sprockets; the colored links of the drive chain -arrows- must be opposite the markings on the sprockets.
Hang camshaft timing chain with marks -arrows- on camshaft bushings. Install the oil pump drive chain onto the 3-speed sprocket. Turn the three-stage sprocket in -direction of the arrow- towards the engine and fasten it to the crankshaft. Marks - arrows - should be located opposite each other.
Screw on jig -T10368- with screw -arrow- for crankshaft V-ribbed belt pulley.
Place the colored link of the balance shaft drive chain -arrow- opposite the mark on the three-stage sprocket; install the chain tensioner shoe and tighten the screw -1-.
Install balancer for timing chain and tighten bolts -arrows-.
Install timing chain tensioner -1-.
Check the adjustment again, the colored links of the chain should be opposite the marks on the sprockets.
Note: The colored links of the drive chain must be opposite the markings on the sprockets.
