Disconnect connector -1- from throttle valve control unit -J338-. Remove screws -arrows- for throttle valve unit -J338- from below and remove throttle valve unit -J338-.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Clean used throttle valve unit -J338- before installing. Clean the bonded surface of the O-ring. Replace sealing ring. After replacing the throttle valve unit -J338-, it must be adapted to the engine control unit -J623-.
Cleaning throttle valve unit -J338-
Note: After installing a new engine control unit -J623-, the throttle valve control unit must be adapted. Dirt/deposits on the throttle valve and its nozzle that change its end position can lead to incorrect adaption values. Do not scratch the throttle body when cleaning.
Remove throttle valve control unit -J338-. Open the throttle by hand and block the throttle in the open position with a plastic or wooden wedge -arrow-.
Thoroughly clean the throttle body, especially in the area of the closed throttle valve -arrows-, using normal acetone and tweezers.
Wipe the throttle body with a lint-free cloth. Let the acetone evaporate completely. Install throttle valve control unit -J338-. Delete adaption values and adapt engine control unit -J623- to throttle valve control unit -J338-.
