Removal the clutch (Skoda Octavia 5E)

To remove and install the clutch, it is necessary to firmly secure the gearbox in a vertical position on the mounting stand. Remove the clutch housing cover. Remove the retaining ring "see arrow" of the clutch housing cover "1". Remove the clutch housing cover from the clutch.



Remove the retaining ring "see arrow". This retaining ring "see arrow" must be re-measured and replaced during installation.

Note: Carefully remove the clutch. Make sure that the disc cage or other clutch parts do not fall out, so do not rotate the clutch under any circumstances! If this does happen, the parts can be reassembled according to the general appearance of the multi-plate clutch.

Remove the clutch assembly "A" in the "direction of the arrow".





Remove the primary shaft "A" of the transmission oil pump.

Note: The transmission oil pump input shaft is only installed after the new clutch has been installed. Set the shaft aside until then.
