Clean the mounting sleeve "T10302" before use, do not use scratched mounting sleeves.
Note: The cover and retaining ring must be replaced. Never hammer on the new cover, lubricate it or touch the middle seal with your hands! Do not hold the new cover by the central opening. Do not touch, lubricate or allow other materials to come into contact with the cover at this point. This may result in a leak.
Cover "A" can be handled only as shown in the picture! The new cover in the area of its seal must be clean of oil and dry! If necessary, clean the end of the shaft of the clutch housing cover of the gearbox. Only the seal on the outer edge can be lubricated with DSG oil. The middle seal "B" of the new cover "A" now needs to be "formed": Move the cover horizontally and evenly along the entire mounting sleeve "T10302". At the same time, bring the working edge of the seal to the installation position. Remove the mounting sleeve "T10302" from the cover with an upward movement and put it on the end of the shaft of the gearbox clutch housing cover.

Place cover "A" along mounting sleeve "T10302" and press evenly into place.

Caution! Proceed carefully. Any blow - even a very light one - to the lid will definitely lead to a leak.
You can carefully pry and lift the cover with a screwdriver "1" in its place "see arrow" until the "new" retaining ring is installed. Install the "new" retaining ring.
