Note: Do not leave the lighting devices on for a long time with the engine off, so as not to discharge the battery. Comply with legal regulations for the use of lighting fixtures. Automation of outdoor lighting is an auxiliary function and does not release the driver from the obligation to use outdoor lighting devices properly.
Note: In cold or damp weather, the headlights may temporarily fog up on the inside due to the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the headlight. After turning on the headlights, fogging quickly disappears, or it remains for some time at the edges. Fogging can also occur on the rear combination lamps. Fogging is not a malfunction and will not affect the life of the headlights.
The switch for exterior lighting and exterior lighting functions is located to the left of the steering wheel (17 in illustration 12.1). If the switch fails, the low beam headlights will turn on.

If the key is removed from the ignition when the driver's door is open and the exterior lights are on (parking lights, marker lights or dipped headlights), an audible signal sounds to warn you that the battery may be low. If the driver's door is then closed, the warning signal turns off and the side lights remain on.
Zero switch position ("ABOUT") when the ignition is off, the external lighting devices are turned off, and when the ignition is on, the lighting for movement during daylight hours is turned on (DRL). To disable/re-enable the DRL, within 3 seconds of turning on the ignition, pull the left stalk toward the steering wheel and simultaneously up or down (respectively), and hold it in this position for at least 3 seconds. On models with a multifunction display in the instrument cluster, the DRL lighting can also be switched off/on again via the menu "Setup>Light and review". To implement the DRL function, separate lamps are provided in the fog lights. When you turn on the DRL, only these lamps and the instrument illumination light up (in versions for some countries, rear position lights are additionally switched on).
If there is a light sensor to the right of the position "0" there is a provision "AUTO". In automatic mode, when the ignition is on, the position is highlighted "AUTO", and the headlights turn on and off automatically depending on the illumination (illumination is determined by a sensor in the interior rear-view mirror support). With the ignition on, in position "AUTO" DRL lights on all the time (see paragraph above). If the dipped beam headlights are automatically switched on, the position of the switch is additionally highlighted. In automatic mode, the headlights turn on regardless of the illumination if the speed exceeds 140 km/h for 10 seconds, and turn off if the speed does not exceed 65 km/h for two minutes. In addition, the parking lights and dipped beam headlights automatically turn on if the wiper operates for more than 10 seconds on the rain sensor or more than 15 seconds in continuous mode, and turn off if the wipers are not operated for four minutes after that.
Attention: The light sensor may not respond to rain or fog; do not stick any stickers on the windshield in front of the light sensor, so as not to disrupt the operation of the automation.
Side lights can be turned on regardless of the presence and position of the key in the ignition. To do this, turn the switch to the position. When the parking lights are switched on, in addition to the corresponding lamps in the headlights and rear combination lamps, when the ignition is switched on, the license plate and instrument lighting are switched on.
To turn on the low beam headlights manually, turn the switch to the position with the ignition on. When the low beam is on, use the left stalk to switch to high beam (see relevant subsection above). If the exterior lighting switch is left in the dipped beam position, only the parking lights remain lit after the ignition is turned off, and when the key is removed from the ignition, the exterior lighting is turned off completely.
To turn on the fog lights (in the presence of) Pull the switch out of the position of the parking lights or low beam headlights towards you to the first detent position. The inclusion of fog lights is accompanied by the inclusion of the corresponding indicator in the instrument cluster.
If fog lamps with static cornering light are installed, operating them (turning on the corresponding fog lamp) is carried out depending on the angle of rotation of the steering wheel or on the inclusion of direction indicators under the following conditions:
- the engine is running and the vehicle speed does not exceed 40 km/h;
- DRL lighting is not included;
- dipped headlights are switched on manually or automatically;
- fog lights not included;
- reverse gear not engaged.
The side light illuminates the area around the corner even before the car has turned. If reverse gear is engaged while the cornering light function is activated, both fog lamps are switched on. In the event of a conflict between the two options (for example, if the steering wheel is turned to the left and the right direction indicators are on), direction indicators have priority.
To turn on the rear fog lamp, pull the switch from the position of the position lights or low beam headlights towards you as far as it will go. Turning on the rear fog lamp is accompanied by the corresponding indicator in the instrument cluster. When towing a trailer connected via a branded trailer hitch, only the rear fog light on the trailer turns on.
To turn off the fog lights and rear fog lights, push the switch all the way in or turn it to the "0".
Some models have an adaptive headlight function ("AFS"), operating when the switch is in position "AUTO". AFS turns on if a low light level is detected, and reverse gear or tourist mode is not engaged (see paragraph below). AFS allows you to adjust the range and width of the headlight beam, changing them automatically depending on the speed of the car and the mode of operation of the headlight. In addition, the AFS function improves road illumination when cornering by shifting the beams of the xenon headlights at speeds over 10 km/h (in addition to static cornering lights). The following AFS modes are provided. The main mode is "country", - the shape of the light beam is close to the shape of the passing beam. This mode is activated if the following modes are not activated. In mode "rain" the light beam is wider and its range is shorter, so that in bad weather (in the rain) reduce the dazzling effect of headlights on drivers of oncoming vehicles. This mode is activated at a speed of 15-70 km/h if the wipers have been running continuously for more than 2 minutes. This mode is deactivated if the speed is outside the specified limits, or if the windshield wipers are not operated for more than 8 minutes. In mode "city" the light beam in front of the car is wider and its range is shorter in order to illuminate the nearest sidewalks, intersections, pedestrian crossings, etc. This mode is activated at a speed of 15-50 km/h. In mode "motorway" the light beam of the headlight is expanded so that it illuminates the left (and, accordingly, the right) lane so that the driver can react in a timely manner to an obstacle or other danger. This mode is activated in steps starting at 90 km/h. The greatest influence is established at speeds over 120 km/h. In the event of a malfunction of the AFS function, the headlights are automatically set to an emergency position to prevent dazzling oncoming drivers. At the same time, the illuminated section of the road is reduced.
When traveling to a country where traffic is on the other side of the road, asymmetrical dipped headlights can dazzle oncoming drivers. Therefore, you must first switch the xenon headlights (through the menu "Settings > Tourist mode" instrument cluster display), or paste over halogen headlights with a special film of the appropriate form. Upon leaving such a country, switch the headlights back, or remove the film from them.
Function "Coming home" allows you to illuminate the road to the house after getting out of the car, leaving the parking lights, dipped headlights, lamps in the exterior mirrors and license plate lighting on for a while (depending on equipment). To use this function, set the outdoor light switch to the position "AUTO" (to turn on the headlights), turn off the ignition, open the driver's door, get out of the car and lock it. The lighting turns off 10 seconds after all doors and luggage compartment are closed. If any doors or luggage compartment are left open, the lights will turn off 60 seconds after the ignition is turned off. Function duration "Coming home" can be changed via the multifunction display menu in the instrument cluster. Function "Coming home" controlled by light sensor (located in the interior rear-view mirror support), therefore, if the illumination is above the set level, the function is not activated.
Function "Leaving home" includes parking lights, dipped headlights, lamps in exterior mirrors and license plate lighting (depending on configuration) when unlocking a single lock of the car, when the exterior lighting switch is in the position "AUTO", and the light sensor registers darkness. Headlights turn off at the end of the timer (default - 10 seconds), either when the vehicle is locked or when the ignition is switched on. If no doors are opened within 30 seconds after unlocking, the vehicle will be automatically locked and the lights "Leaving home" turn off. Function duration "Leaving home" can be changed via the multifunction display menu in the instrument cluster.
