Front seats
Note. On some models of recent years of production, the front seats are equipped with side airbags. in this case, before proceeding with the procedures, read the warnings given in the appropriate section of the Chapter Onboard electrical equipment.
Removing
1. On models equipped with side airbags, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait at least one minute before starting work.
2. On all models, slide the seat to be removed all the way back, then remove the front bolts securing the guide skids.
3. Now move the seat all the way forward and release the rear skid guide mounting bolts. Remove washers.
4. Carefully remove the seat from its original position.
Note. If equipped, be sure to disconnect the wiring harness from the seat/side airbag heating operating element.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order. All fasteners are tightened to the required torque. On models equipped with side airbags, take special precautions (see the warnings in the relevant Section of the Chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
Backseat
Removing
Some models are equipped with a single-section rear seat, others are equipped with split-type seats. Each section is removed by folding the backrest forward and then tilting the cushion forward until it is released from the supports.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order. Check that the seat is properly fixed in the supports.
