Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the soundproofing covering from the engine compartment.
Caution: If the accessory drive belt is to be reused, an arrow indicating the direction of rotation must be drawn on its surface before removal. Otherwise, accelerated wear is possible.
2. Using a suitable wrench, move the tensioner pulley in the direction of the arrow to release the belt tension, as shown in the figure below.
3. Lock the tensioner in the retracted position by installing a special locking pin (T10060A) into its hole.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Sequence of installation of poly-V-belt on pulleys of attachments:
- 1- crankshaft pulley;
- 2- tensioner roller;
- 3- generator;
- 4- pulley of the air conditioning compressor.
1. Hold the tensioner roller with a wrench and remove the locking pin (T10060A) from it.
2. Release the tensioner roller.
3. Check that the accessory drive belt is installed correctly.
4. Start the engine and let it idle. Check the operation of the accessory drive belt.
