The design of the trunk lid is similar to the door design. It is welded from outer and inner sheets and several stiffening ribs. The outer sheet is flanged over the inner sheet along the contour. The flange is connected with adhesive mastic. The stiffening ribs and handles are spot welded to the inner sheet.
The cover assembly is suspended from the upper part of the frame in the framework on two hinges. The fixed arms (flaps) of the hinges are secured with bolts, which can be accessed through holes in the roof stiffener (after dismantling the ceiling panel). When dismantling the cover, it is better to release the bolt connection on the cover. It is accessible after opening the doors.
The adjustment of the cover to the body frame in the gaps and along the plane is achieved by shifting towards the hinges and in the lower part by shifting the lock latch.
