Replacing the rear wheel brake pads - installation instructions
When replacing brake pads, consider the following: check the protective cover of the brake caliper piston. If damaged, replace the protective cover.
When replacing the cuff
Check the working surfaces of the brake cylinder piston and brake caliper for contamination (oxidation). Thoroughly clean the piston and brake caliper if contaminated and replace the sealing cuff. Check the brake cylinder piston and brake caliper (corrosion, scratches on the cylinder surface), if damaged, replace the entire brake caliper.
When pressing the brake caliper piston back to its original position
Check how easily the piston is pressed into the brake caliper. If the piston is pressed into the brake caliper with difficulty: check the brake cylinder piston and brake caliper and clean, replace the sealing cuff and protective cover. If there is damage, replace the entire brake caliper.
