Unscrew both guide pins - see arrows - and remove from the brake caliper. Remove the brake caliper housing and secure with a wire so that it does not pull on the brake hose with its mass and does not damage it. Remove the brake pads from the brake caliper. Clean the brake caliper.
Use only alcohol to clean the brake caliper.
Installation
Before pressing the piston back into the cylinder with the piston return tool, it is necessary to drain the brake fluid from the hydraulic brake reservoir. Otherwise, brake fluid, if topped up, may leak out and cause damage. Press piston out using piston resetting tool -T10145- -1-.
Install the inner brake pad (piston side) -1- and the outer brake shoe -2- with retaining springs into the brake caliper. Internal brake pad (piston side) with three-finger clip -1-. External brake shoe with small 3-finger clamp -2- (black color).
First put on the brake caliper with brake pads from below - see illustration. arrow - on the shield of the brake mechanism.
Screw the brake caliper with both guide pins to the brake shield. The brake caliper bolt must be behind the guide of the wheel bearing housing! Install both protective caps. Install wheels.
Note: Follow the instructions for replacing pads. After each replacement of the brake pads, firmly press the brake pedal several times with the vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are in their working position. After replacing the brake pads, check the brake fluid level.
