Installation
The piston is set to its original position. Install the inner brake pad (piston side) -1- and the outer brake shoe -2- with retaining springs into the brake caliper. Internal brake pad (piston side) with three-finger clip -1-. External brake shoe with small 3-finger clamp -2- (black color). First put on the brake caliper with brake pads from below - see illustration. arrow - on the shield of the brake mechanism. Screw the brake caliper with both guide pins to the brake shield. The brake caliper bolt must be behind the guide of the wheel bearing housing! Install both protective caps. Screw the brake hose to the brake caliper. Remove brake depressor, eg -VAG 1869/2-. Remove air from the brake system. Install wheels.
Note: Follow the instructions for replacing pads. Press the brake pedal firmly several times while the vehicle is stationary so that the brake pads are in their working position. Check brake fluid level.
