Note: Follow the instructions for replacing the brake pads. After replacing the brake pads, press the brake pedal firmly several times with the vehicle stationary until the brake pads are in their operating position. Use a brake fluid filling and bleeding device, such as -E4S 5234-, to pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir. Before removing the brake caliper or before disconnecting the brake line from the brake caliper, install a device for pressing the brake pedal, such as, "V.A.G 1869/2".

2. Brake disc: ventilated, diameter 340 mm; replacement must be done on both wheels of the axle; to remove the pre-; return brake caliper screws

12. Brake caliper: When replacing brake pads, do not disconnect the brake line. Follow the instructions for replacing the pads
13. Brake pads: with wear indicator; with appropriate wear (minimum thickness of pads: 4 mm) a control lamp lights up in the instrument panel insert; replace on both axle wheels. Follow the instructions for replacing the pads
14. Brake shield: bolted to the wheel hub bearing housing
