Note: Follow the instructions for replacing pads. After replacing the brake pads, firmly press the brake pedal several times with the vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are in their working position. Use brake fluid filler and bleeder, eg -E4S 5234-, to drain the brake fluid from the reservoir. Before removing the brake caliper or before disconnecting the brake line from the brake caliper, fit a brake depressor, eg -VAG 1869/2-.
1. Bolt, 4.5 Nm
2. Brake disc: ventilated, diameter 340mm; replace on both wheels of the axle; to remove pre-you-; return brake caliper screws
3. Torx screw, 12 Nm

7. Brake hose with O-ring and hollow screw, 35 Nm

9. Wheel bearing housing: with screwed brake shield
10. Bolt, 200 Nm: clean when reused
11. Screw, self-locking, 35 Nm: replace after each removal
12. Brake caliper: When replacing the brake pads, do not disconnect the brake line. Follow instructions for changing pads
13. Brake pads: with wear indicator; with appropriate wear (minimum lining thickness: 4 mm) the control lamp in the instrument panel insert lights up; replacement to be carried out on both wheels of the axle. Follow instructions for changing pads
14. Brake shield: screwed to the wheel bearing housing
