Removal and installation the gearshift housing (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Pull the handbrake lever. Set the control lever to the "D/S" position. Switch off the ignition. Insert the "T30098" release tool under the gearshift mechanism housing and detach the housing by pressing in the direction of the "arrow". Tilt the gearshift mechanism housing to the side.



Disconnect the connector of the indicator "arrow A" and the connectors of the switches -arrows B and C-, installed in the casing of the shift mechanism. Lift the casing of the shift mechanism.



Press the clips of the selector protective cover with a screwdriver and detach the cover from the gearshift mechanism housing. Remove the gearshift mechanism housing from the protective cover and the selector handle.



Installation in reverse order.
