Removal and installation the gearshift housing (Skoda Fabia 5J)

With the ignition off, disconnect the wire connecting the battery terminal to the ground (body) of the vehicle. Pull the preselector lever handle button to the extreme position; the button will remain fixed here. Lift the casing in the direction of the arrows.



Disconnect the plug connector from the printed circuit board. After loosening the clamping clamp "arrow", remove the casing.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of actions; in this case, the following instructions must be observed. Connect the plug connector to the printed circuit board. The arrow clip should always be replaced.

Important: When connecting the plug connector, make sure that the contact pins of the printed circuit board do not bend and that the retaining tabs of the housing do not break off.
