Pull the selector lever handle "1" together with the selector lever boot upwards "arrow A" so as not to press the lock button "2".
-Do not take arrow B into account.
Installation
Installation is in reverse order. Lock button "2" is directed forward in the direction of travel.
Caution! Risk of damage to the shift mechanism. In the installation position, the lock button on the handle must not be pressed in, but must protrude. If the lock button was accidentally recessed when removing the selector lever handle, it must be moved to the installation position. If the selector lever handle is installed with the lock button recessed, the selector lever handle and gear selection cable will be destroyed.
Press the selector lever handle "1" into the selector lever in the direction of "arrow B" without touching the lock button "2". The selector lever handle should click into the groove of the selector lever. Clamp the clamp "arrow" using clamp pliers.
Note: The selector lever handle is only properly secured when the clamp is tightened. The locking button on the handle can then be pressed. The first time you press the locking button after installing the selector lever handle, you may need to apply a little more force.
Press the lock button on the selector lever handle. Install the trim of the selector position indicator "Y6". Check the switching mechanism.
Moving the lock button on the selector lever handle to the installation position
In the installed position, the lock button "2" on the selector lever handle protrudes outward.
Note: If the lock button is accidentally pressed, it must be returned to the set position again so that the selector lever handle can be set.
Carefully insert the T40203 unlocking tool until it stops against the selector lever handle "1" "arrow".
Note: For reasons of clarity, the selector lever handle is shown without the selector lever protective cover. The selector lever protective cover cannot be removed from the handle.
The cutout on the release tool "T40203" points towards the lock button, the hook is turned to the left. While holding the selector lever handle "A", turn the release tool "T40203" in the direction of arrow "1" by 180°. While holding the selector lever handle, carefully remove the release tool "T40203" -arrow 2-.
When the release tool "T40203" is pulled out, the lock button on the selector lever handle "A" will be pressed out and locked. Before installing the selector lever handle, do not touch the lock button again to prevent it from being pressed in again.
