Emergency release of the switching mechanism from position "R"
The selector lever lock solenoid -N110- locks the selector lever in position "R". The control lever can then be switched from position "R" only when the ignition is on or the engine is started, with the brake pedal depressed and the button on the control lever pressed. In the event of a power failure, the selector lever lock magnet (Battery is discharged or defective) or with a faulty magnet, the selector lever does not switch from the position "R"; those. the vehicle cannot be moved when the gearbox is locked when parking. In this case: Check the fuse. Check battery voltage. If in this case the selector lever does not switch from the position "R", you need to emergency unlock the magnets. If the control lever is then returned to the position "R", then it will lock again in position "R".
Carry out an emergency lock
Remove shift cover. Depress the brake pedal or apply the parking brake lever. Press yellow plastic wedge -A- in -direction of arrow 1-. Now press the button on the handle of the control lever and move the control lever -B- in -direction of arrow 2- from position "R".
Note: If the control lever is then moved back to the "R" then it will lock in that position again.
Replace o-ring for shift rod
The sealing ring of the gearshift rod can only be replaced together with the cover of the gearbox lock,

Checking the connectors in the switching mechanism
Before repairing or checking connectors, troubleshoot using the "Guided troubleshooting". Before checking the connectors, it is necessary to check all the vehicle's ECUs, if necessary, eliminate the malfunctions. Check connectors.
1. Electrical connector of the wiring harness from the gear shift mechanism to the gearbox (with CAN bus cable), to the selector lever lock solenoid -N110- and to the selector lever lock switch in P position -F319-
2. Connector for selector lever position indicator -Y6-.
