Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring instruments, as well as auxiliary means:
- Socket wrench "T40055".
- Assembly tool -T104N-.
- Cleaning and degreasing agent, eg. "D 009 401 04".
- Protective glasses and gloves.
Note: When working on the power supply system, safety precautions must be observed.
Attention.
- To facilitate installation of the high-pressure fuel pipe without internal stress, loosen the fuel rail fastening. If necessary, slightly move the fuel rail.
- To facilitate installation of the injector tubes without internal stress, loosen the fastening of the fuel rail and the clamping strips of the plunger pairs of the high-pressure fuel pump. If necessary, slightly turn the fuel rail and the corresponding plunger pair of the high-pressure fuel pump.
- Under no circumstances should the pipes be bent or installed under tension. Tension during installation may cause the high-pressure fuel pipe to break.
Note.
- For alignment of fuel rail or pump (plunger) sections are not allowed to use any tools.
- In case of reuse of high pressure lines, the markings for individual cylinders should be followed.
- High pressure pipelines can be reused if:
- The sealing cone of the corresponding high pressure pipeline is not deformed or cracked.
- The opening of the pipeline is not deformed, not narrowed or damaged.
- Corroded pipelines can no longer be installed.
1. Remove dirt from the sealing cone on the fuel rail.
Attention: When working with the degreasing agent, use protective gloves and glasses!
2. Clean the fuel line and fuel line connection and dry them with compressed air.
3. The threads of the union nuts should be lubricated with fuel.
4. High pressure fuel line from the fuel rail to the pump (plunger) sections should be installed by hand. The union nuts should be tightened by hand only.
5. Next, install the high pressure fuel line from the high pressure pump to the fuel rail.
6. The union nuts should be tightened by hand only.
7. The high pressure pipes should be tightened with a 17 mm socket wrench "T40055" on the fuel rail and on the fuel injectors with a torque of 28 Nm, as shown in the figure below.
8. The fuel rail should be tightened to a torque of 22 Nm.

9. To install the high-pressure line between the high-pressure pump and the fuel rail, install the assembly sleeve "T10411" on the fuel supply pressure sensor "G247", as shown in the figure below.

Note.
- To install the union nut on the high pressure pump, the engine suspension bracket must be movable, for this purpose, the screws (4) must be loosened, as shown in the figure below.
- The "T10411" assembly sleeve ensures the correct distance between the "G247" fuel pressure sensor and the high-pressure line.

10. The high pressure pipe (2) between the high pressure pump and the fuel distributor should be tightened first to the high pressure pump (4) and then to the fuel rail (1), as shown in the figure below.
11. Install and tighten the screw (3) of the high pressure fuel line clamp shown in the figure below.
12. Install the bracket (for engine lug).
13. Check the tightness of the power supply system.
