Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- Socket wrench-T40055-.
- Assembly tool -T104H-.
- Cleaning and degreasing agent, e.g. -D 009 401 04-.
- Protective goggles and gloves.
Note. When working on the power supply system, safety precautions must be observed.
Attention.
- To facilitate installation of the high pressure fuel pipe without internal stress, loosen the fuel rail fastener. Move the fuel rail slightly if necessary.
- To facilitate the installation of the injection pipes without internal stress, loosen the fastening of the fuel rail clamping strips of the high pressure fuel pump plunger pairs. If necessary, slightly rotate the fuel rail and the corresponding plunger pair of the high pressure fuel pump.
- Under no circumstances should pipes be bent or installed under tension. Tension during installation may cause the high pressure fuel pipe to break.
Note.
- For leveling the fuel rail or pumping (plunger) sections are not allowed to use any tools.
- In the case of reuse of high-pressure pipelines, the markings for the individual cylinders must be followed.
- High pressure pipes can be reused if:
- The sealing cone of the corresponding high pressure pipeline is not deformed or cracked.
- The pipe opening is not deformed. not narrowed or damaged.
- Corroded pipelines can no longer be installed.
1. Remove debris from the sealing cone on the fuel rail.
Attention. Wear protective gloves and goggles when working with the degreaser!
2. Clean the fuel line and fuel line connection and dry them with compressed air.
3. The threads of the union nuts should be lubricated with fuel.
4. High pressure fuel line from the fuel rail to the pump (plunger) sections must be set manually. Union nuts should only be hand-tightened.
5. Next, install the high pressure fuel line from the high pressure pump to the fuel rail.
6. Union nuts should only be tightened by hand.
7. Tighten the high pressure lines with a 17 mm socket wrench -T40055- on the fuel rail and on the fuel injectors with a torque of 28 Nm, as shown in the figure below.
8. The fuel rail should be tightened with a torque of 22 Nm.
9. To fit the high-pressure line between the high-pressure pump and the fuel rail, install the assembly sleeve -T10411- on the fuel pressure sender -G247- as shown in the figure below.
Note.
- To install the union nut on the high pressure pump, the engine suspension bracket must be movable, to do this, loosen the screws (4), as shown in the picture below.
- Assembly sleeve -T10411- ensures the correct distance between fuel pressure sender -G247- and high pressure line.
10. High pressure pipeline (2) between the high pressure pump and the fuel distributor must be tightened first at the high pressure pump (4) and then on the fuel rail (1), as shown in the figure below.
11. Install and tighten the screw (3) high pressure fuel line clamp shown in the figure below.
12. Install bracket (for engine eye).
13. Check the tightness of the power system.
