1. Loosen the drive shaft to hub assembly mounting bolt (see Section 2 Chapter 8).

2. Remove the wheel.

3. Remove the anchor bracket together with the brake caliper without disconnecting the brake hose and hang them on a wire on the body, preventing the hose from being pulled (see Chapter 9).

4. Remove the ABS wheel sensor and brake disc (see Chapter 9).

5. Remove the brake shield from the steering knuckle.

6. Loosen the tie rod end nut on the steering knuckle, leaving it screwed on a few turns. Then press the tie rod end joint out of the steering knuckle using tool #3287A (see illustration 5.7), finally loosen the nut and separate the steering rod end from the steering knuckle.

7. Press the drive shaft out of the steering knuckle as far as possible towards the transmission.

9. Widen the slot in the steering knuckle by inserting and turning wedge No. 3424 in it (see illustration).

10. Give the nuts (see illustration 4.5 Chapter 8), place a transmission jack under the steering knuckle, squeeze the ball joint out of the lever and separate the steering knuckle from the suspension strut.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order. When tightening the hub bolt, follow the sequence described in Section 2 Chapter 8. If a new steering knuckle is installed, adjust the front wheel alignment angles (see Part D).
