Removing
1. Separate the steering knuckle from the drive shaft as described in Section 8, Chapter 2, paragraphs 1-8 (skip point 4).
2. Unscrew the brake caliper mounting bracket from the steering knuckle, then separate the caliper and fix it like this. not to damage the brake hose. Place a clean pad (the same thickness as the brake disc) between the pads to prevent them from moving (Section 9, Chapter 14).
3. If you need to disassemble the steering knuckle, remove the brake disc (Section 9, Chapter 16).
4. Turn off a coupling bolt and a nut fastening a rotary fist to the bottom end of a rack, knock out a bolt and remove a rotary fist from the car.
Installation
5. Install in the reverse order of removal paying attention to the following.
- a) Clean and lubricate the pinch bolt and nut, then clean the knuckle and strut contact surfaces.
- b) Attach the steering knuckle to the rack, then insert the coupling bolt and tighten the nut, clamping it with the tightening force regulated specifications.
- c) Install brake disc and caliper (Section 9).
- d) Assemble the front suspension as described in Section 8, Chapter 2, paragraphs 16-21. Tighten all nuts and bolts with a tightening torque specified specifications, where given.
