Removal
1. The vacuum pump is mounted on the left side of the front wall of the cylinder block.
2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the top of the pump.
3. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the pump mounting retainer from the cylinder block.
4. Remove the pump from the cylinder block, remove the sealing ring.
Note: During assembly, the sealing ring must be replaced without fail.
Installation
1. Install a new O-ring onto the pump, lightly lubricating it to ease the fit.
2. Install the pump in its regular place. Make sure that the drive gear groove engages correctly with the drive shaft pawl.
3. Install the retainer and tighten the mounting bolt to the required torque.
4. Connect the vacuum hose to the pump and secure it securely with a clamp.
