Removal



1. Unscrew the wheel bolts.

2. Raise the car.

3. Remove the coil spring (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).

4. Unscrew the fastening nut (1) and remove it together with the washer (2), as shown in the figure below.

5. Unscrew the mounting bolt (4).

6. Remove the washer (3) shown in the figure below.

7. Mark the position of the eccentric bolt (3) relative to the subframe, for example with a marker.

8. Unscrew the fastening nut (2) shown in the figure below.

9. Remove the upper control arm (1) assembly.

Installation



1. Install the upper control arm onto the vehicle and tighten the mounting bolts by hand.



Note: Tightening the wishbone mounting bolts can only be done after the suspension has been installed in the position corresponding to dimension "a".


2. Tighten the new nut to the specified torque.

3. The eccentric bolt must be installed relative to the subframe in accordance with the previously applied marks.

4. Tighten the upper control arm mounting bolt.

Note: Make sure a washer is installed on the wheel bearing housing mounting bolt.


5. Install the coil spring.

6. Install the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.

7. Check the wheel alignment angles.
