Pressing in a rubber-metal support
Important: Do not use grease! Use "G 294 421 A1" oil for pressing. This oil creates a thin, sticky layer that ensures a secure fit. Ordinary fats and oils often contain acids, leaving a sticky layer that can cause damage to the rubber-metal mount, and when the car springs back, the entire rubber-metal mount, not just the rubber part, can rotate.
Position for assembling the rubber-metal support in the bracket
Protrusion "1" on the rubber-metal support must correspond to mark "2" on the bracket. The mark on the left bracket faces the body. The mark on the right bracket points away from the body. Mark the position of the trunnion "1" on the surface of the rubber-metal support to ensure the correct position for assembly when installing it. For this purpose, use, for example,. with a felt-tip pen.
