Switch (lock) ignition
1 - ignition switch; 2 - steering column; I, II and III - key positions in the ignition switch
The ignition switch 1 is combined with an anti-theft device that locks the steering.
The key in the ignition switch can occupy three positions.
Position I - ignition off. The key is removed. With the key removed, the steering is locked. To turn off the anti-theft device, insert the key into the ignition switch and, turning the steering wheel slightly to the right and left, turn the key from position I clockwise.
Attention! If you removed the key from the ignition switch but forgot to turn off the exterior lights, a chime will sound when the driver's door is opened.
Attention! Do not remove the key from the ignition switch while the vehicle is moving, otherwise the steering column may be blocked by the anti-theft device and the vehicle will become uncontrollable.
Position II - ignition on. The key is not removed. The steering is unlocked.
Position III - the ignition and starter are on. Achieved by turning the key to failure clockwise, overcoming the force of the spring. The steering is unlocked. In this position, the key is not fixed - for the starter to work, it must be held by hand.
