16.1 Instrument panel beam mounting parts

2. Remove the instrument panel (see Section 15).

3. Remove the knee airbag (see Chapter 12).
4. Remove the air supply pipe to the windshield.
5. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
6. On models with xenon headlights, remove the cornering light and headlight leveling control unit (behind the center console).
7. Remove the bolts securing the relay and fuse holder.
8. Remove the steering column mounting bolts (see Chapter 10).
9. Unscrew the support mounting bolts (7 and 8). Loosen the nuts (5), unscrew the bolt (11) in the air intake chamber.
10. Unscrew the bolts (10 and 4) and loosen the nuts (2). Remove the instrument panel beam from the bolts and remove it from the vehicle.
