2. To remove valve No. 1 "N205" adjusting the phases of the intake camshaft, disconnect its connector (1 per resist. illustrations) and remove the bolts (arrows). Lubricate the O-ring with engine oil before installing the sensor.
27.2 N205 valve connector and fasteners
3. To remove the upper timing chain cover, remove the valve "N205" and remove the bolts (1-5 per resist. illustrations). When installing the upper timing chain cover, use new bolts for its fastening.

4. Drain the engine oil.
5. Remove the crankshaft pulley (see Section 25) and screw its bolt back into the crankshaft with pressure plate T10368 (see illustration 25.8), so as not to damage the teeth.
6. Remove the auxiliary bracket (see Section 24).
7. Unscrew the bottom bolts of the engine mount, remove it and raise the engine about 105 mm (on the spindles of the device for unloading supports) or 50 mm (from installation position), as described in Section 23. Turn out the top bolt of an engine support and remove a support together with the inserted bolts.
8. Turn out bolts (see resist. illustration) and pull the dipstick guide tube out of the lower timing chain cover.
27.8 Fixing the probe guide tube
9. Turn out bolts of fastening Ý/m of the valve "N75" boost pressure adjustment and remove it from the turbocharger (arrows on resist. illustrations), and then remove the turbocharger support (1).
27.9 Valve fixing ''N75" and turbocharger mounts
10. Turn out bolts (1-15 per resist. illustrations), pry off the cover, starting from the bolt locations (1 and 13), and remove it.
Note: In order not to damage the cover, pry it only at the places where the bolts are installed (not between them).
27.10 Bolts for fastening the lower cover of the timing chain
11. Prepare new seals, gaskets, self-locking nuts and multi-tight bolts.
12. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal from the lower timing chain cover.
13. Remove any remaining sealant from the mating surfaces on the cylinder block, on the bottom of the oil pan, and on the lower timing chain cover. Clean mating surfaces of oil and grease. The use of a chemical sealant and grease remover is recommended.
14. Install the bottom cover, tightening the old bolts of its fastening with a force of 8 Nm. Using a blade-type feeler gauge, make sure that the gap between the cover and the cylinder block does not exceed 0.2 mm. Otherwise, a new cover must be used. If you cannot measure the gap between the cover and the top of the oil pan, visually verify that the sealing surface is flat. Remove the cover.
15. Make sure both centering sleeves are in place (see resist. illustration).
27.15 Centering sleeves of the lower cover of the timing chain
16. Apply a bead of silicone sealant D174 003A2 with a diameter of 2-3 mm to the mating surface of the lower timing chain cover (see resist. illustration). The roller must not be thicker, otherwise the sealant may squeeze out and enter the lubrication system.
Note: After applying the sealant, the flange must be installed within 5 minutes or less. Wait at least 30 minutes for the sealant to dry before adding engine oil.
17. Align the lower timing chain cover and screw in all the new bolts of its fastening in the sequence (1-15 in Illustration 27.10) with a force of 8 Nm, and then tighten them to an angle of 45°.
27.16 Sealant application scheme
18. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal of the remaining parts.
19. Install the drive belt tensioner (see Section 24), adjust the engine mount bracket (see Section 23) and top up the engine oil.
