Important: After completing work on the valve timing mechanism, carefully crank the engine at least 2 revolutions to ensure that none of the valves will touch the piston crown during starting.

For engines with the letter designation BBM
1 - Cylinder head cover, with integrated camshaft bearings; 2 - 6 Nm + turn an additional 90° (1/4 turn); 3 - Camshaft; 4 - Rocker arm, do not confuse each other, check the roller bearing, lubricate the working surface with oil, for installation it should be secured with locking clamps on the hydraulic pusher; 5 - Hydraulic tappet, do not confuse with hydraulic valve clearance adjustment, lubricate the working surface with oil; 6 - Valve checks; 7 - Valve spring plate; 8 - Valve spring, change only the entire set of springs; 9 - Valve stem seal; 10 - Cylinder head, sealing surfaces on the camshaft side must not be machined; 11 - Valve, do not mill, only mutual lapping with the valve seat is allowed
