Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the blower/fresh air supply motor from the heater unit and disconnect the wires from the heater (see Chapter 11).
3. Remove the central heating/ventilation switch panel, which is located above the heater control levers.
4. Pull the blower control handle off the mode switch, then loosen the retaining nut and push the switch out through the panel (see photo).
5. Separate the switch wires from the connector (located in the panel, to the right of it), then remove the switch, passing the blower motor wires through the bulkhead (see photo).

6. If the reason for removing the switch was problems with the supercharger operation at low and/or medium speeds, check the supercharger motor resistor (see Chapter 11).
Installation
7. Perform installation in reverse order. Make sure the electrical wiring is securely connected.
