Removing
1. Disconnect and remove the battery (see Section 12).
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see section 1). If the antifreeze cannot be replaced, collect the drained fluid in a clean container.
3. Disconnect cables from control levers on the block of a heater. To gain access to the cable fasteners, it is necessary to remove the central heating / ventilation control panel, glove box and plate on the left side (see photo).
4. Working in the engine compartment, lift the air intake hood away from the heater block (see photo).
5. The blower/fresh air unit is now accessible and can be removed from the heater housing (see photo). In this case, it is necessary to disconnect the wires from the supercharger terminals as soon as they become accessible.
6. Peel the floor carpet away from the bulkhead at the front of the cabin to access the bottom heating duct mount just above the center tunnel of the cabin. Carefully press the air duct away from the heater (see photo).
7. Turn off and remove two fixing nuts of a heater located on a partition from outside the engine. Ensure that all mating components and parts are separated from the heater unit and carefully remove it from the baffle. At the same time, ask an assistant to separate the heater unit from the upper air ducts in the cabin.
Installation
8. Install in reverse order. Make sure all mating components and parts are installed correctly and attached securely.
9. Finally, fill the cooling system and check the heater hose connections for leaks.
