- Engine and gearbox mount "VAG 1383 A".
- Tension belt "T10038".
- Stop "T10149".
Description of the process
Note:
- All bolts of the rubber-metal chassis mounts must be tightened in a position where the suspension is subject to the vehicle's own weight (unloaded state).
- All rubber-to-metal bushings have a limited torsional range.
- Therefore, before tightening, suspension parts with rubber-metal bushings must be brought to a position corresponding to their position in the driving mode (vehicle tare weight load).
- Otherwise, the rubber-metal bushing may become overtightened, which will reduce its service life.
- By raising the suspension of the corresponding wheel using the engine and gearbox stand "VAG 1383 A" and the pallet "T10149", it is possible to simulate this position on the lift.
- Before lifting the suspension of the corresponding wheel, the car must be secured to the lift brackets using the "T10038" tension belts.
Caution: If the vehicle is not secured with straps, it may fall off the lift.
1. Turn the wheel hub so that one of the wheel bolt holes is at the top.
2. Attach the "T10149" support to the wheel hub using a wheel bolt.
Note: Tightening of the corresponding bolts and nuts is permitted only when the distance between the center of the hub and the lower edge of the wheel arch reaches dimension "a".
The dimension "a" depends on the height of the vehicle's chassis:

Note: *: The vehicle data sticker contains information about the chassis design. The chassis type is indicated by the corresponding equipment code.
3. Raise the wheel bearing housing using the engine and gearbox stand "VAG 1383 A" until dimension "a" is reached.
Attention:
- Do not raise or lower the vehicle if there is an engine and transmission jack underneath it.
- The engine and gearbox stand "VAG 1383 A" should remain under the vehicle no longer than is required to perform the work.
4. Tighten the appropriate bolts and nuts.
5. Lower the wheel bearing housing.
6. Remove the engine and gearbox support "VAG 1383 A" from under the vehicle.
7. Remove support "T10149".
