2. Turn off the ignition and all consumers, remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
3. Remove the windshield wiper arm (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
4. Remove the engine compartment cross member covers.
5. Unscrew the mounting bolts (1, 3) and mounting nut (5), as shown in the figure below.
6. Unlock and disconnect the wiring harness connector (4) from the windshield wiper motor.

7. Remove the windshield wiper mechanism together with the rods from the vehicle body, as shown in the figure below.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
