Removal and installation a poly V-belt (Skoda Kodiaq NS7)

Removal

Attention:

• Installing the old belt the other way around may damage it!
• Before removing, mark the direction of belt movement with chalk or a felt-tip pen.

1. To loosen the tension of the poly V-belt, turn the tensioner in the direction shown by the arrow, as shown in the figure below.

2. Lock the tensioner with the T10060A lock.

3. Remove the poly V-belt for the accessory drive.

Installation

1. Installation is carried out in reverse order, while observing the following:

Note: Before installing the poly V-belt, install the alternator and air conditioning compressor.

• First install the poly V-belt on the crankshaft pulley (1), then on the tensioner roller (2), and then on the generator pulley (3) and the air conditioning compressor (4).

• Turn the tensioner slightly with an open-end wrench and remove the "T10060A" lock.
• Release the tensioner.
• Check that the poly V-belt is installed correctly.
• Start the engine and check the movement of the poly V-belt.
