Note: Observe the rules for maintaining cleanliness. When installing, fasten all heat-insulating cuffs in their original places. If mechanical defects of the turbocharger are detected (e.g. destruction of the wheel of the pump section), it is not enough just to replace the turbocharger. To avoid subsequent damage, the following work must be carried out. Check the cleanliness of the air filter housing, filter element and air ducts. Check the entire boost path and intercooler for the absence of foreign bodies. If they are detected, the entire charge air path should be cleaned and the intercooler, if necessary, replaced.
Drain coolant. Loosen screws -1- and remove heat shield for propshaft on right side, if present.
Release screws -arrows-, remove oil pressure line -1- and oil return line -2-.
Unscrew screw -2- and remove screw clamp. Remove screw -1-, unscrew nuts -arrows- and tie up catalytic converter.
Loosen clamps -1- and -2- and remove air pipe. Release the air hoses at the air connection.
Disconnect connector -1-. Unlock catches -arrows- and remove air duct.
Press the release buttons and disconnect the hose -1- going to the adsorber. Unscrew screws -arrows- and detach crankcase breather hose.
Disconnect connector -2-. Unscrew screws -arrows- and remove pipe -1-.
Loosen clamp -2- and remove coolant hose. Remove screws -arrows- and swivel coolant hoses -1- to right.
Remove bolts -arrows- and remove bracket for heat shield -1-.
Remove nuts -arrows- and remove turbocharger.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Insert a screwdriver -2- into the groove -arrow- of the turbocharger and pry out the O-ring -1-.
Instruction. Replace O-rings, gaskets and cylinder head connecting nuts. Fill the turbocharger with engine oil through the oil pressure port. Fix all hose connections with clamps corresponding to those installed at the factory. After installing the turbocharger, let the engine idle for about 1 minute to ensure proper oil supply to the turbocharger. Premature revving should be avoided.
Fill up the coolant.
