Note: If a large amount of metal chips or wear marks are found in the engine during repairs, this may be due to damage to the crankshaft bearings and connecting rods. To prevent damage in the future, after repair, the following work must be performed: thoroughly clean the oil channels; replace oil nozzles, engine oil cooler and oil filter. Piston cooling nozzle and pressure reducing valve.
1. 8 Nm and tighten by 90° (¼ vol.)
2. Oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-
3. O-ring: replace
4. Oil drain plug, 30 Nm: replace
5. O-ring: replace
6. Oil pan bottom
7. 8 Nm and tighten by 90° (¼ vol.): replace
8. Centering sleeve, 2 pcs.
9. Cover: oil pump drive sprockets
10. Drive chain: oil pump; Before removing, mark the direction of travel with a colored mark
11. 8 Nm and tighten by 90° (¼ vol.): replace
12. Upper part of the oil pan
13. Flow stop device
14. Sprocket: oil pump drive
15. Landing pin
16. Oil filter, 20 Nm: Remove and install with oil filter wrench -3417-; lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil before installing
17. Gasket: with strainer
18. Oil pump
19. 10 Nm
20. O-ring: replace
21. Oil intake: clean the strainer in case of contamination
22. 12 Nm: replace
