Note: Before replacing a clutch master cylinder that is suspected to be defective, a check must first be carried out using -Guided Fault Finding-. If the slave cylinder is removed with the tubing connected to the gearbox, do not depress the clutch pedal. Otherwise, the piston can be squeezed out of the slave cylinder and break.
Disconnect battery wire to ground. Then remove gearbox support -arrows-.
Place a lint-free cloth under the slave cylinder. Open the bracket -A- with a screwdriver and remove the hose pipe -B- from the fitting. Detach hose line -B- from clutch slave cylinder and plug. Release screws -arrows- and remove slave cylinder.
Carefully! There is a risk of contamination due to leakage of brake fluid. When the hose pipe is disconnected from the fitting, do not press the clutch pedal.
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Lubricate all bearing and contact surfaces with grease.
Install clutch slave cylinder -A- and tighten screws -arrows-. Connect hose line -B-. Connect battery.
Tightening torques
