Removal and installation the clutch release slave cylinder (Skoda Fabia 5J)

Remove the upper engine cover. Before disconnecting the battery in vehicles with a car radio equipped with an anti-theft jamming code, you must know this code. With the ignition off, disconnect the wire connecting the terminal. battery with the "ground" (body) of the vehicle. Remove the battery and battery holder. Remove the air filter. Remove the Bowden cable gearshift mechanism together with the gearshift lever "2". To do this, unscrew the nut. Remove the Bowden cable for the preselective gearshift control with the guide shift lever "4" by disconnecting the snap ring "3" from the guide shift lever.



Unscrew screws "1" from the flexible roller counter support (bowden cables). Move the flexible roller counter support away (bowden cables) to the side and tie it as high as possible. Pull out the clamp "2" until it stops, then remove the pipe and hose line "3" from the clutch release drive slave cylinder and seal it. Remove the pipe and hose line "3" from the holder "4" on the gearbox.

Important: Do not depress the clutch pedal.

Remove screws "5" to remove the clutch release drive slave cylinder.





Remove the clutch release drive slave cylinder in an upward direction. Press the working part of the rod into the clutch release drive slave cylinder.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of actions, and it is necessary to observe the following instructions: Lubricate the working area of the rod with consistent grease -G OOO 100-. Screw the clutch booster slave cylinder to gearbox "5". Insert the pipe and hose line "3" into the clutch booster slave cylinder. Press the safety clamp "2" until it stops, while checking the locking of the pipe and hose line.



Press the pipe and hose line into the holder "4". After installing the clutch release slave cylinder, the air must be bled from the clutch system. Install the flexible roller counter support (bowden cables), guide shift lever and gear shift lever. Install the air filter.
