Note.
- The fuel supply pressure should be correct.
- The fuel injectors must be built into the fuel distributor and the fuel line connected.
- Fuel temperature - 15-20°С; fuel must comply with current regulations.
1. Fit fuel injector to be checked into graduated cylinder -VA G 1602-.
2. From the fuse box under the instrument panel, remove the fuel injector fuse according to the circuit diagrams of the electrical equipment.
3. Connect one clip of the appropriate fuse holder and the positive (+) pole terminal of the battery with auxiliary wires from the auxiliary measuring kit to start the fuel pump.
Note. This work step only serves to keep the fuel pump running when the engine is stopped.
4. Connect one fuel injector lead to engine ground using the auxiliary wires from the auxiliary gauge kit.
5. Connect the second contact of the valve injector of the auxiliary cable to the remote control, -VA G 1348/3 A- with adapter cable, -VAG 1348/3-2-.
6. Connect the side terminal to the positive (+) -pole terminal of the battery.
7. Press remote control -VAG 1348/3 A- for 30 seconds.
8. Visually check also the shape of the injected fuel jet.
9. Gradually repeat the control of the remaining fuel injectors. To do this, always use a new graduated cylinder.
10. After arousal (activation) For all fuel injectors, the measuring cylinders must be placed on a horizontal base and the individual amounts of fuel injected must be compared.
Required value: 96-104 ml (per fuel injector).
The amount of injected fuel must be the same for all fuel injectors.
11. If the measured value of one or more fuel injectors is lower or higher than the specified required value, it is necessary to replace the faulty fuel injector.
12. Installation of fuel injectors is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note
- Replace O-rings on all fuel injectors and lubricate them with a thin film of fresh engine oil.
- Install fuel rail (fuel rail) with blocked valve injectors to the intake manifold, tighten the screws evenly to 7 Nm.
