Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- Joint spanner 24 -T40175-.
- Oil pressure tester.
- Voltage tester (semiconductor diode test lamp), -VAG 1527 B-.
- Auxiliary test lead set, -VAG 1594 C-.
- Diagnostic, measuring and information system -VAS 505X-.
Note:
Carrying out condition:
- The engine oil level is normal;
- Coolant temperature - at least 80°C (fan for additional cooling has worked at least once).
1. Remove the oil pressure drop switch in the cylinder head (arrow) using a 24 mm articulated wrench -T40175- as shown in the figure below.
2. Screw the oil pressure drop switch into the gauge.
3. Screw the measuring device instead of the oil pressure drop switch into the cylinder head.
4. Attach the brown tester wire to ground» (-).
5. Connect the probe (voltage indicator) to the positive battery terminal and to the low oil pressure switch. The light emitting diode must not light up.
If the light emitting diode is on
6. Replace oil pressure drop switch -F1-.
If the light emitting diode does not light up
7. Start the engine and increase the speed. With an excess oil pressure of 0.03... 0.07 MPa (0.3...0.7 bar) the light emitting diode of the probe should light up, otherwise replace the oil pressure drop switch.
8. Continue to increase the speed. At 2000 rpm. and at an oil temperature of 80°C, the excess oil pressure should be at least 0.2 MPa (2.0 bar). It is impossible that at a higher speed the excess oil pressure exceeds 0.7 MPa (7 bar).
