Removing
1. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Cooling system).
2. Remove alternator (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Engine electrical equipment).
3. Unscrew the fastening screws (arrows) liquid cooling pipes on the cylinder block and on the oil cooler, as shown in the figure below.
4. Place a catch pan for engine oil under the engine.
5. The liquid cooling pipes should be removed from the oil cooler towards the front.
6. Unscrew the fastening screws (1), (2), (3) and remove the oil cooler from the cylinder block as shown in the figure below.
Note. For the sake of clarity, the assembly position is shown with the catalytic converter removed.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note. Replace O-rings.
Install alternator (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Engine electrical equipment).
Fill the system with coolant (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Cooling system).
Note. If the oil cooler is replaced, the coolant must be changed.
