Removing
1. Remove the oil pan (for details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
2. Remove the oil pump chain sprocket cover (A), shown in the figure below.
3. Hold the oil pump chain sprocket with clamping tool -T10172- and loosen the fixing screw as shown in the figure below.
Note. Do not completely unscrew the fastening screw.
4. Press the chain tensioner against the (arrow direction), as shown in the figure below.
5. Unscrew the fixing screw of the chain sprocket.
6. Remove the chain sprocket from the oil pump shaft and remove from the chain.
7. Loosening the fixing screws of the oil pump (arrows), unscrew them completely, as shown in the figure below.
8. Remove the oil pump assembly from the cylinder block.
Installation
1. Press the chain tensioner against the (arrow direction), as shown in the figure below.
2. Install the chain sprocket into the chain and then onto the oil pump shaft.
3. Ensure that the chain sprocket on the oil pump shaft (arrow), has been installed properly.
4. Screw in the fastening screw of the chain sprocket.
5. Hold the chain sprocket with clamping tool -T10172- as shown in the figure below.
6. Install the torque wrench as shown in the figure below (A).
7. Tighten the fixing screw with a torque of 20 Nm and turn an additional 90° (¼ turn).
8. Install the oil pump chain sprocket cover (A), shown in the figure below.
9. Install oil pan (more. see relevant section in this chapter).
