Removal
Tailgate
1. Open the tailgate and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. On models equipped with high-level brake lights, remove the signal light (see Chapter On-board electrical equipment), then carefully remove the fixed countersunk nuts from the door frame.

3. On all models, remove the rubber plugs located along the top edge of the door frame to access the spoiler mounting screws...

...unscrew the screws and remove the spoiler assembly from the door, disconnecting the washer hose at the same time.

4. Carefully release the interior trim panel from the clips and separate it from the door, then unscrew the mounting screw and remove the catch loop.
5. Disconnect the tailgate electrical component connectors and tie a piece of cord to the harness. Release the wiring from the intermediate clips and remove it from the door frame.
Note: It may be necessary to release the terminals from the windshield wiper motor connector to allow the harness to be removed from the door. If this is the case, mark the wiring to ensure proper connection during reassembly.

8. Unscrew the bolts securing the hinges to the door and remove the door from the car.

Installation
Tailgate
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the following points:
- a) Ensure that the hinge strips are installed correctly on the door (in accordance with the markings applied during dismantling);
- b) Before installing the insulation film and the door inner trim panel, connect the battery and check the operation of the electrical components of the tailgate;
- c) Make sure the door is correctly positioned in the body opening. If necessary, loosen the hinge bolts and make the appropriate adjustments;
- d) Finally, check the door lock for proper operation. If necessary, adjust the striker (see section Removal, installation and adjustment of tailgate lock components).
