Removal
1. Remove the cover installed on the throttle body (see section Removal and installation the air cleaner assembly).
2. At the throttle body, disconnect the cable core from the throttle spindle plate - the core should be pulled back and then the cable end disconnected.
3. Remove the locking cap from the outer end of the cable sheath.

4. Pull the cable through the rubber grommet, releasing it from the support bracket, then release the rubber grommet from the support bracket, which can then be pulled off the casing.
5. In the passenger compartment, disconnect the inner end of the cable from the bushing at the top end of the gas pedal.
6. Release the cable from the intermediate guide clamps and pull it through the engine compartment bulkhead (try not to damage the rubber bushing).
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
2. Secure the cable housing in the support bracket on the throttle body by snapping the metal locking ring into one of the housing grooves so that when the pedal is fully depressed, the throttle valve is lightly pressed against the end stop.
