The fuel tank neck, coming out on the right side, is equipped with a plug, and that, in turn, is closed with a plastic module with a lid and a sealed rubber cuff that seals the neck in the body. The cover of the module, adjusted to the surface of the body, is made of plastic in the color of the car and is equipped with a spring that keeps it in the tilted position after opening. Modules with a lid are of two types.
On LX vehicles, there is a small protrusion on the lid that can be grasped by hand to open the lid. The lid is held in the closed position by spring pressure and is never locked or otherwise closed. A patented key lock is installed on the plug of the filler neck.
The GLX and SLX have a similar module with a cover, but the cover is smooth with no protrusion. It is held in the closed position by a latch. The latch is installed in the working position by an electrical unit, fixed with two nuts on a holder welded to the fender liner. The electrical wiring is connected with a two-pole connector. The latch is controlled by a push-button switch located on the dashboard console. In this version, there is no key lock on the neck plug.
