Removal
1. The tank is not equipped with a fuel drain plug, so it is preferable to remove it when the tank is empty. Before starting work, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and pump out the remaining fuel from the tank.
2. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the car and place it on axle stands. Remove the right rear wheel.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap, then unscrew the locking nut securing the filler pipe to the rear fender (see illustrations).

4. Unscrew the bolt securing the filler pipe to the wheel arch (see illustration).

5. Loosen the clamp securing the filler pipe hose to the fuel tank and separate the hose (see illustration).

6. Lower the filler pipe unit (see illustration). Disconnect the ventilation hoses by loosening their clamps. Plug all hoses and couplings to prevent dirt from entering the block and fuel leakage.

Installation
7. Install in the reverse order of removal. Make sure all hoses are routed correctly and securely fastened.
