Remove screw "1" of the engine support bracket.

Loosen the cylinder head bolts in sequence and unscrew. Remove the cylinder head and place it on a soft pad (made of foam rubber or similar material).



Installation



Caution! Risk of damage to mating surfaces. When repairing, carefully remove any remaining sealant from the cylinder head and cylinder block. Avoid leaving grooves and scratches. Risk of damage to the cylinder block. Do not allow oil or coolant to enter the threaded holes of the cylinder block (under the cylinder head mounting bolts). Risk of insufficiently tight cylinder head seal. Carefully remove any remaining abrasive or polishing materials. Remove the new cylinder head gasket from the packaging immediately before installation. Handle the gasket carefully, trying not to damage the silicone layer and the rolled edges of the gasket. Replace the screws that are tightened by turning to a specified angle. Replace the self-locking nuts, as well as the lip seals, O-rings and gaskets. When installing a cylinder head from the exchange stock, it is necessary to lubricate the friction surfaces of the hydraulic compensators, roller levers and camshaft cams with engine oil before installing the camshaft housing. Secure all hose connections with clamps corresponding to those installed at the factory. When replacing the cylinder head or its gasket, completely replace the coolant and oil in the engine.


Install the cylinder head gasket "1". Check the presence of the centering pins "arrows" in the cylinder block. Install the cylinder head gasket taking into account the marking: the part number must be read from the intake valve side.

If the crankshaft has been turned during this time: set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the top dead center position. Turn the crankshaft back slightly again. Install the cylinder head. Insert the cylinder head bolts and tighten them by hand. Tighten the cylinder head mounting screws,



Note: There is no need to tighten the cylinder head mounting bolts after repairs.


Installation in reverse order. Install the camshaft housing. Install the intake manifold. Change the engine oil. Change the coolant.
