Note: Low beam system is not installed on all models.
1. The low beam mode unit is installed on the upper support of the right suspension strut (photo), and controls the headlight circuit in such a way that when the ignition is turned on, not only the side lights, but also the dipped beam with reduced brightness are turned on.
2. With the ignition on, if the parking lights are on, the dipped beam headlights will also light up, but the brightness of their glow will be approximately six times less than normal brightness (hence the term «subdued light»).
3. The idea of the system is to prevent the car from moving at night (in well lit areas) only with headlights on.
4. The dipped beam system unit cannot be repaired and must be replaced in the event of a malfunction.
